THE ECONOMICS OF YET MORE
EVERYDAY THINGS
This five week
course will look further at the economic stories behind another range of
everyday commodities and the issues they raise. It will look at the basic
ingredients of our daily diet - sugar and salt, consider the rise of
Coca-Cola, a beverage with no nutritional value but the world’s best known
brand, and explore the impact of the world’s thirst for oil on countries in
Central Asia.
No previous knowledge of economics or attendance on the previous course is
necessary.
